Material Handler – Pallet Assembler Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Department: LETEM Recycling ABQ Reports to: Department Supervisor Summary/Objective The Material Handler position main function is to repair wooden pallets to desired specs. Essential Functions 1. Utilizing a nail gun to assemble wooden components to create wooden pallet. 2. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions using a crowbar and handsaw. 3. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 4. Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: • Able to lift 50 lbs. • Able to work standing on your feet for 8+ hours a day • Able and willing to work in an outdoor environment. • Able to bend and lift for 8+ hours a day. 5. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent directives. As with all positions at LETEM Recycling, this position requires emphasis on quality and safety.
