We’re looking for a talented Project Engineer to join our team in Portland! BKF Engineers, delivering on inspired infrastructure & unlimited opportunities since 1915. We're seeking an ambitious Project Engineer with experience in land development, civil engineering. You will apply your technical expertise to independently manage all phases of projects, from small to large-scale, while collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to ensure progress updates and accurate reporting. It's a great opportunity to support and coordinate a team of engineers, drafters, and technicians on various project tasks. Some of your key responsibilities include: Design site development projects, including grading and stormwater plans Develop utility systems for water and sewer Prepare reports and master planning studies Create specifications and cost estimates Ensure compliance with federal, state, city, and county standards Prepare specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates Requirements 4+ years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D A Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license in the State of Oregon is highly preferred Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations. Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.  Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required. Benefits The typical base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $123,000.00 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
