Part-Time Line Cook (Downtown Olympia)
Basilico Ristorante is seeing a Part-time Line Cook, Friday & Saturday, to cover pantry and assist on sautee. This position is approximately 14 hours per week, depending on the time of year and amount of business. Occasional holidays and special events will add hours, and there is the option for some Sundays a few times per year (i.e. Mother's Day, Father's Day, Wine Dinners). Job requirements: -At least 18 months in the kitchen, some experience either in pantry or on the line. -Some experience in a scratch kitchen preferred. -Excellent knife skills. -Curiosity and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes. -Attention to detail and strong team-work skills Useful, but not required -Knowledge of the Italian language -Experience with European Italian (as opposed to Italian American) cuisine -Experience baking, bread making, pasta making, and/or pastry can come in handy. Compensation is $18.00-20.50/hour (DOE), plus a share of the Service Charge, paid as a bonus on top of wages on each paycheck (total pay before taxes usually ranges from $23-26/hour).
