Small assisted living home in Columbia, Maryland desires a responsible person for assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) for senior residents. We are licensed for nine residents; however, current census is six residents. Previous experience will be evaluated. Duties will include personal care, medication administration (may provide training), cleaning, and light meal preparation. This is a part-time position; at this time three hours weekday mornings; (6:30-9:30) flexible hours may be required. Hours may be increased as resident census increases. As a DSP, you will assist clients with daily living activities, encourage independence, and help them lead fulfilling lives within their communities. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to individuals at our day program and community settings. Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, ICP changes and toileting. Support individuals feeding. Promote independence through skill-building activities, including communication, transportation, and community integration. Document care provided, progress toward goals, and incidents according to agency policies and procedures. Implement individual service plans (ISPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs). Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals served. Collaborate with families, guardians, case managers, and other professionals as needed. Attend required training and staff meetings. Work Schedule: Full-time, part-time, and flexible shifts available. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
