The client uses an electric wheelchair, a Hoyer lift, and a commode/shower chair. He needs help with dressing/undressing, toileting, dental care, getting into and out of bed, respiratory care, etc. An applicant should have a valid driver’s license in good standing, a reliable vehicle, and a clean background with no criminal history. Experience is preferred but not required. Training is provided. The pay is $22.00 per hour (on books).

The male currently has a staff of 6 CCSU/QU students who do his care 3 times a day 7 days a week. 5 of the 6 student staff do not reside in CT when school isn’t in session, so when they leave for Thanksgiving and winter breaks he has just 1 staff member to assist him. Social Worker – Certification Specialist Emphasis The Social Worker (Certification Specialist Emphasis) develops qualified Adult Family Homes by recruiting, screening, and certifying Family Home Providers. The Social Worker (Certification Specialist Emphasis) ensures initial and ongoing certification requirements are met and that developed homes and Providers are in alignment with the philosophy and values of the company as well as all internal and external regulations and policies. A.) from four-year college or University plus one to two years related experience preferred; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
