Description

Real Kitchen at Walden runs the in-house food program for Walden, one of Chicago's premier event venues. We are looking for experienced servers to join our service team for a busy upcoming wedding season. We believe in fair pay and full benefits, and want this job to be sustainable for our staff. Most shifts are 7-9 hours, with additional tips at the customer's discretion (avg $15+/hr in tips), 4% 401k match with immediate vesting, and 50% employee only match on health and dental insurance for those who take every available shift. We have 2-3 wedding events booked most weekends for the majority of the year, before getting into weekday corporate and fundraiser events. Applicants must have weekend availability, no exceptions. Responsibilities will include set-up and break down of the events, cocktail hour service, and dinner service. We are looking for positive, enthusiastic people who are interested in joining a tight knit team. These positions are perfect for someone looking for more stable work outside of the unpredictable and volatile restaurant industry. Prior experience in catering, banquets, fundraiser, galas, birthdays, corporate events, and large formal gathering is preferred, but not required. Possession or the ability to obtain the following state certifications is a plus: Food Handlers, Food Allergen, Basset.
