Our Kitchen Team Members primarily focus on ingredient preparation, baking bread, catering, and deep-cleaning as our service team assembles sandwiches to order during service. Role and Responsibilities - As a Prep Cook / Kitchen Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing all of the chef-driven ingredients that are our recipe for success. This includes bread, meats, vegetables and sauces, all prepared with passion and attention to detail. - Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and adhere to first-class health and safety codes. - Follow standard operating procedures for all of our standards, recipes, and techniques as outlined throughout the company. - Clean and maintain the dish station, kitchen stations, and the overall premises in sparkling condition on a regular basis, assisting with deep cleaning frequently. - Support the Service Team Members as needed throughout the day during service. - Safely operate commercial kitchen tools and equipment such as knives, slicers, ovens, mixers, blenders, choppers, dishwasher, etc - Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. - Maintain guest and kitchen areas by clearing tables, mop and sweeping floors, sanitizing countertops, etc. - High priority to have a NYC Food Handler's Permit - Opportunities for promotion for candidates that demonstrate leadership on the job Sandwell is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
