Uvitron International, a developer and manufacturer of UV light curing systems, is looking for a motivated individual to serve as a full-time Shipping and Receiving clerk. In addition to high organizational skills and punctuality, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work on parallel tasks in a high pace environment with set deadlines. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for checking-in UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other courier deliveries; inspecting and stocking items received; verifying against invoices and packing slips; and preparing discrepancy reports as needed. - Responsible for shipping out UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight shipments while ensuring timely and accurate processing. - Maintain filing system for customer orders and utilize shipping/inventory software to track all inventory items stored in the warehouse. - Organize warehouse inventory, update records in warehouse management systems, and perform general housekeeping and cleaning tasks. - Perform ISO 9001-related tasks such as processing non-conforming material, logging late shipments, and maintaining compliance records. - Assist in assembly or purchasing departments as time permits, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve delivery or shipment issues. - Perform other related duties as required, including troubleshooting shipping software, and coordinating with UPS, FedEx, and DHL representatives on service or account issues. Qualifications: - Experienced in using carrier shipping software such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and DHL Easy Ship to process, track, and manage shipments. - High School diploma or equivalent, or GED - Knowledge of basic computer skills required. - The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. - Strong interpersonal skills for working with outside vendors. - International Shipping experience is a plus. - Fundamental understanding of drawings specs is a plus. - Ability to work in a team environment. - Must be dependable, motivated, organized, trustworthy. Experience and/or educational requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with cable assembly background in QA department. • Must be able to read and write in English. • Basic math skills addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Detail oriented and strong work ethic. • Basic experience using Microsoft office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and carry it for short distances. • Must be able to sit or stand for 2 hours at a time. Using hand tools, and power tools to ensure smooth surfaces. Assembling finished parts as needed Responsibilities ~ Grind, sand and polish production parts according to customer specifications ~ Ensures quality production through physical inspection. ~ Inspect parts for flaws and cracks. ~ Will frequently and repetitively be able to lift 50 lbs. ~ Maintains high level of accuracy, efficiency and safety, ensure quality standards and policy objectives are met by in-process inspection. ~ Experience with basic inspection equipment and small tools (calipers, grinders, measuring tape, etc.) ~ Ability to work overtime as needed to meet schedule requirements. ~ Willingness to follow instruction and help wherever needed in the shop. ~ Be self motivated, positive team-oriented attitude. ~ Must maintain a clean and safe working environment Employee is regularly exposed to vibration, moderate noise levels.
