We are looking for 2 experienced full-time Workshop Carpenters to join our Make x Affect team at our Fabrication Facility located in Yonkers. This role will support projects from start to finish, ensuring consistency, quality, and care through all phases of prep, transport, and on-site installation. Key Responsibilities: Review and build from technical drawings and report back to the Director of Millwork with questions, comments, concerns. Manages, tracks, and plans tasks according to the production schedule. Execute fabrication tasks on schedule, maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Operate and maintain shop machinery, equipment, hand, and power tools safely and efficiently. Work with a range of materials including wood, sheet goods, metals, plastics, and hardware. Prepare and track tools, equipment, and materials for assigned projects. Collaborate in improvements on build methods and technical solutions. Accurately forecast and communicate task completion timelines. Support daily shop operations, including material prep, assembly, finishing, and staging. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Track time and assignments accurately for project reporting. Assist with the upkeep of department tools, consumables, and equipment. Participate in post-project reviews, offering feedback and improvements for future builds. Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and collaborative working environment Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a carpenter, fabricator, or related workshop role, ideally in in the commercial, hospitality, and/or residential fit out market. At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing and/or installing of high quality, bespoke millwork products. Experience with all millwork manufacturing machinery – Panel Saw, Jointer, Planer, Widebelt Sander, etc. Strong knowledge of fabrication methods, materials, joinery techniques, and finishing. Ability to read and follow technical drawings, plans, blueprints, and sketches with accuracy. Competency with shop machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in quality work. Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Team-oriented with clear, professional communication skills. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Commitment to shop safety standards and proper practices. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Familiarity with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) standards, local building codes, and ADA compliance regulations. Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. We currently seeking a Safety Specialist within our Building Engineering division for various construction and civil projects throughout New York State. Our LaBella safety team provides safety management services and training to clients for all industries and markets. This position would report to our Latham, NY safety manager. This safety position is highly dynamic and requires long term travel assignments. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with our client's management team, safety staff and labor to assure on-site safety compliance. The position will be located on one of our client's project sites and have the ability to guide, lead and provide corrective actions, as needed. This will be a part time role. Duties Review and comply with safety programs and procedures Provide Toolbox Talks Develop weekly/monthly corrective actions report On-site training when needed Requirements 10+ years of construction, environmental, civil safety experience. OSHA (30hr) Construction Hazwoper (40hr/8hr) CPR/AED/FA Trained Must be willing to travel (overnights) and be assigned to long term (2-6 months) projects. Ability to provide safety training not required; however, much preferable. ASIC FUNCTION The basic functions of a Project Engineer Assistant are to help Team leaders assigned to run the job to: plan, and document changes on the job so that each project or job executed as estimated to produce the desired results contained in the estimate. In essence, the Team Leader and the Project Engineer work in very close communication during the job. We are currently hiring a Mechanical Engineer in our Building Engineering Division at our Syracuse, NY office. The Building Engineering Division at LaBella provides complete building engineering services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Services range from feasibility studies and analysis through project design and construction. Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Mechanical Engineer will work with engineers as part of a project team to provide HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs, studies and technical support as required to fulfill project requirements. Typical projects will involve field work, design, and construction administration services. A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports for Building and Renovation projects.
