Roofer Journeyman/Foreman (san jose south)

South Valley Roofing Inc. is a family run business and has been providing roofing services for a wide range of clients, including industrial buildings, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and homeowners’ associations (H.O.A.) for 35 years. As a roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various residential and commercial buildings. Responsibilities: · Installation of different types of roofing systems such as sheathing, asphalt shingles, tile, TPO, liquid applied. · Ensure work is completed according to industry standards and company guidelines. · Daily clean up of job sites. · Work with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time. · Safe operation of tools of the trade (hand tools, power tools etc.) · Follow OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to job site safety, demonstrate safe work practices. · Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks. · Climbing and operating on ladders, able to handle at least 50 lbs. · Effective communication with foremen, supervisors, and other company employees. Qualifications: · 5 + years of experience as a roofer in the roofing industry. · Knowledge of roofing materials and techniques, Certainteed applicator certification preferred. · Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. · Ability to work well with others and take direction. · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. · Reliable form of transportation to and from job sites. - CA driver's license - Personal hand tools. - Bilingual preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Overtime Experience: Roofing: 5 + years (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In person
