Must be able to pick up, lift and hold 60 pounds while standing.  Flexibility: Must have the ability to perform the following tasks continuously and alternating for up to 8 + hours a day; o Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend/Crouch/Stoop, Climb, Squat, Crawl, Drive, Kneel, Twist, Balance and Reach. o Repetitive Foot Controls, Repetitive Hand Controls, Repetitive Grasp/Grab, Heavy Grasp (greater than 40kg). o Above Chest Level/Above Shoulder Work, Lift/Carry; Push/Pull greater than 40 pounds frequently. o Must be able to work within 18 inches from the body. o Must be able to regularly work in awkward bending, kneeling and/or twisting positions. o Must have good eye/hand coordination. JOB SUMMARY Performs preventative maintenance on support and freight moving equipment as well as repairs to same Principal Duties and responsibilities. - Performs preventative maintenance on all fleet equipment. - Perform major and minor repairs to fleet equipment as needed. - Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures on equipment as required. - Researches parts needed for repairs on equipment by using parts manuals and supply books. - Rebuilds engines, transmissions and their components as necessary. - Makes service calls to various departments both domestic and international to facilitate equipment repairs as required. - Remains on standby duty whenever a ship is being loaded after hours and on weekends. Fuels equipment in the absence of the fueler. - Fill out work orders after every job. Orders parts required to conduct repair and maintenance and follow-up. Coordinates with the effected departments equipment repairs and services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: High School Diploma and vocational technological graduate with certificate in equipment maintenance and repair Experience: Five years experience in heavy equipment repair, maintenance and operation. License: Valid Local Driver's license- Commercial Class B with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement and valid passport. Certificate in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical. Travel: 10% travel to both domestic and international locations.
