Charles River C# Developer Needed at a Leading NYC Hedge Fund Location: NY, NY (Hybrid - 3 days in office) Compensation: TBD, This is a contract position. WE NEED YOU: We are seeking a Charles River CRIMS C# Developer to design, develop, and maintain the services and APIs that support a complex, data-driven web application for the financial industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core to support frontend functionality. • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend architecture. • Work closely with frontend developers to ensure smooth API integration. • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning. • Implement data access layers using Entity Framework Core or other ORM frameworks. • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into backend modules and services. • Design and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth, OpenID Connect, or Azure AD. • Implement event-driven architecture with message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or NServiceBus). • Ensure data consistency and integrity across different modules and databases. • Optimize application performance and scalability to handle large volumes of financial data. • Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure reliability and maintainability of the codebase. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development best practices. • Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environments using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL. • Monitor and troubleshoot backend performance issues, logging, and error handling. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Experience with Charles River CRD platform • 8+ years of experience in development using C# and ASP.NET Core/Angular. • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices. • Experience with SQL Server and proficiency in writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance. • Knowledge of Entity Framework Core or other ORM frameworks. • Familiarity with Azure cloud services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure Service Bus. • Experience with authentication and security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect. • Experience in event-driven architectures and working with message brokers like RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka. • Understanding of scalability, performance tuning, and caching mechanisms (Redis, Azure Cache for Redis, etc.). • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Symmetrio is seeking multiple Senior Network Engineers to support a major enterprise network transformation initiative for our customer, a large government organization. This role centers on the implementation of Juniper MX960 routers and the transition from MC-LAG to EVPN/VXLAN fabrics. This role will involve leading high-impact cutovers and migrations in a production environment, contributing to both hands-on implementation and network architecture design across a multi-overlay fabric. This is a hybrid position based out of Philadelphia, salary is in the 110-150k range. This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of enterprise-scale Juniper router migrations (MX960 platform). Design and validate EVPN/VXLAN architectures with multiple overlays to ensure scalability, performance, and redundancy. Collaborate closely with the customer’s Network Engineering team to achieve seamless integration with minimal disruption during migrations. Configure, test, and deploy Junos OS across MX and EX platforms in production environments. Provide expert-level guidance on the migration from MC-LAG to EVPN, including design validation, testing, and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for network designs, cutover strategies, and post-migration processes. Serve as a subject matter expert for Juniper routing, EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, and advanced routing protocols. Support after-hours cutovers and provide escalation assistance during critical events. Requirements 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or large data center environments. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Juniper MX and EX platforms.
