Bulkmatic is seeking a full-time Lead Diesel Technician/ Shop Supervisor for our Buffalo, NY location. We are offering relocation assistance to a qualified candidate. The Lead Diesel Technician/ Shop Supervisor will be responsible for performing all maintenance aspects and management of a Bulkmatic shop. This position reports directly to the Terminal Manager and follows the required maintenance guidelines set forth by the Vice President of Maintenance and the Department of Transportation. Apply here PRIMARY DUTIES: • Manage the day to day activity of the shop Including inventory, supervision of employees (when applicable) and workload assignments. • Assist Terminal Manager Assistance with terminal invoices and other required paperwork Completion of the master sanitation check list Consistent implementation of policy and procedures Compliance with government regulations, customer expectations and company standards. • Oversee employee safety, satisfaction and performance Ensure compliance with safety related requirements Promote Clean and Safe working conditions • Complete required data elements Generate and analyze shop data and reports to promote efficiency Work with other terminals and departments to ensure necessary documents are processed • Perform diesel repairs and maintenance, complete shop projects and assignments as required or requested by management. • Ability to work independently • Some travel required To secure parts as needed, meet with vendors, assess equipment and acquire bids as needed. PAY: Up to $40 per Hour based on experience We are now offering a $3,000 Sign-on Bonus at this location! POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred) • At least 4 years of management or supervisory experience preferred • Five years relevant experience in the operation and repair of tractor (class 8), and trailers (air brakes) inspection / repairs within a fleet, state, or federal (including Armed Forces) shop environment. • A two year degree with a leading technical college in the repair of diesel engines is preferred • Must provide your own set of tools. This position is for an installer for our granite crew. The responsibilities include carrying and installing countertops in commercial and residential settings, managing the care and maintenance of tools and equipment, loading and unloading slabs, some granite cutting and polishing. The applicant must have a valid Massachusetts drivers license, as well as their own transportation to and from our office. You must have the ability to carry heavy objects, be proficient in using a tape measure and solve simple math problems. If you are presently skilled doing carpentry work, this is a great way to learn a new trade.
