The primary role of this position is to operate the garbanzo cleaning facility. Cleaning months are typically September-April, with operation intermittent at times depending on markets and product availability. When there is not cleaning work to be done, there is work on the farm side of things. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required, looking for someone who is not afraid of hard work. Compensation $20-28/hr depending on experience and qualifications. Performance based year end bonus Overtime after 40hrs 2000-2500hrs annually Benefits Medical reimbursement ($367/month) 80hrs paid vacation annually, accrued monthly Work Location Pullman, WA and surrounding 10-mile radius Job Requirements Must be able to lift 100lbs Must be fluent in English Must be able to troubleshoot problems of all varieties. Mechanical, Electrical, Logistical. Must take pride in your work and think critically. Must be proficient operating a forklift, or ability to learn quickly. Job Description January-March (40 hrs/wk): Cleaning and shipping chickpeas. Overseeing and operating the cleaning, sizing, sorting and packaging equipment. March-May (65-80 hrs/wk): Spring field work. This work includes seeding, harrowing, fertilizing, spraying, truck driving and many other tasks to get crops planted and established. Washing machinery at end of season. June-July (40-50 hrs/wk): Summer projects, elevator maintenance, grain bin construction. July-September (90-100 hrs/wk): Harvest. Combining, bank out wagon driving, truck driving, and repairs as needed. September-October (65-80 hrs/wk): Fall field work. This work includes harrowing, seeding, fertilizing, spraying, truck driving and many other tasks to get crops planted and established. Fall tillage to prepare for upcoming spring work. October-December (40 hrs/wk): Cleaning and shipping chickpeas. Overseeing and operating the cleaning, sizing, sorting and packaging equipment.

Job Qualifications and Skills --Journeyman HVAC License preferred --Beneficial to have welding experience --Able and willing to follow direction exactly, efficiently, and quickly. --Gather materials, as directed, and load onto a work van in an organized way so it can be pulled off in the right order for the job. --Able to be directed and corrected, and remember standard operating procedures. --Able to lift 50 lbs alone, 80-110 lbs with help of co-worker. --Able to climb and descend a ladder; to crawl in tight spaces; to safely use power tools. --Able to pass a background check. This role ensures that all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities • Perform inspections and quality checks on BESS installations, including electrical, mechanical, and civil components. • Verify compliance with project drawings, technical specifications, codes, and standards. • Conduct incoming material inspections to ensure equipment and components meet quality standards. • Document all inspection results, maintain QA/QC records, and generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) when needed. • Oversee and verify installation of battery racks, inverters, switchgear, transformers, cabling, grounding, and auxiliary systems. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to resolve quality issues. • Monitor testing and commissioning activities to ensure proper system functionality. • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality management procedures. • Participate in client/owner walk-downs and support punch list resolution. Qualifications • 3+ years of QA/QC inspection experience in power, renewable energy, or utility-scale construction projects. • Hands-on experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is required. • Knowledge of applicable standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO, and utility specifications). • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications. • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills. • Familiarity with commissioning processes and test procedures for electrical equipment. • OSHA 10/30 is required. • Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to project sites. Physical & Work Environment Requirements • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods. • Comfortable with construction site environments and PPE requirements, Must have full PPE and FR clothing.
