Škoda Auto India has deepened its footprint in the south with the launch of a new Customer Touchpoint in Peenya, Bengaluru, the company announced today. The facility, developed in partnership with longtime dealer PPS Motors Pvt. Ltd., combines a full-service workshop with the brand’s first Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) car showroom in the city.

Located in one of Bengaluru’s busiest industrial corridors, the Peenya site spans 12,700 square feet. The CPO sales area occupies a 1,000 sq. ft. space with display capacity for two vehicles, while the service workshop covers 11,700 sq. ft. and features 20 service bays, a dedicated paint booth, and an express bay for quick turnaround. The design follows Škoda’s global “Modern Solid” philosophy, aiming to create a welcoming atmosphere for both sales and after-sales interactions.

This opening brings Škoda Auto India’s total touchpoints in Karnataka to 34, spread across 12 cities including Belgaum, Bellary, Bengaluru, Davanagere, Hassan, Hubbali, Kalaburagi, Mangalore, Mysore, Shivamogga, Tumkuru, and Udupi. Bengaluru alone now hosts 20 such outlets, reflecting the city’s outsized role as a growth engine for the brand in the region.

“With this new Customer Touchpoint, we’re reinforcing Škoda Auto India’s commitment to Karnataka and the southern market,” said Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Škoda Auto India. “Bengaluru now has 20 touchpoints in operation, and we’re bringing our complete product lineup—from the soon-to-launch Kylaq to the refreshed Kushaq, Slavia, and Kodiaq—closer to customers while ensuring top-tier service standards. Karnataka remains a vital pillar of India’s growth story, and we’re confident in growing the Škoda brand here.”

Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director of PPS Motors Pvt. Ltd., added: “This workshop and the first Škoda CPO sales point in Bengaluru mark a milestone for us. It’s our 11th touchpoint in Karnataka, complementing another 16 across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Gujarat. With over 75 years of experience and a deep understanding of evolving customer needs, we’re focused on delivering accessible, high-quality after-sales service and a best-in-class ownership journey.”

The expansion comes as Škoda Auto India accelerates its product push in the world’s third-largest auto market. The brand recently unveiled the entry-level Kylaq SUV, targeting first-time buyers, while updating the Kushaq and Slavia for the midsize sedan and SUV segments. On the premium side, the Kodiaq continues to attract families and enthusiasts.

Industry analysts note that Škoda’s growing dealer network—especially in southern states like Karnataka—is key to capturing market share from rivals such as Hyundai, Kia, and Maruti Suzuki. “The South has historically been a stronghold for European brands due to higher disposable incomes and better road infrastructure,” said Ravi Bhatia, auto analyst at Jato Dynamics. “Škoda’s investment in both new sales and certified pre-owned channels signals a long-term play for customer loyalty and retention.”

Globally, the Volkswagen Group-owned brand has been realigning its strategy to focus on high-growth markets. India, where it has operated for over two decades, remains a priority despite regulatory hurdles and competition from more localised players. The addition of the CPO segment—still nascent among mass-market brands in India—gives Škoda an edge in the used-car market, which is expanding at double-digit rates.

For customers in Peenya and surrounding areas, the new touchpoint means shorter travel times for routine maintenance and easier access to verified pre-owned vehicles with factory-backed warranties. The express bay is particularly designed for busy urban professionals who need quick services like oil changes and tire rotations.

The partnership with PPS Motors, a family-run dealership group with roots dating back to 1947, ensures local knowledge and operational stability. The group’s managing director hinted at further expansions: “We see strong demand in Karnataka’s tier-2 cities, and we’re exploring opportunities to bring Škoda closer to those customers as well.”

As the Indian auto market gears up for a festive season typically starting in August, analysts expect Škoda to leverage its strengthened network to capitalise on pent-up demand. With a mix of fresh products and a growing service footprint, the brand is positioning itself for a stronger second half of 2025.
