As of August 26, 2026, Tesla has officially locked in the date for its dedicated Cybercab launch event: September 3 in Austin, Texas. How the Invitations Rolled Out
Tesla published official sweepstakes terms on its website for the event. Anyone who completed a Robotaxi trip between August 17 and August 23, 2026 was automatically entered, with more rides increasing their odds. A free mail-in option was also available. Five winners were randomly selected and notified on August 25. The sweepstakes was limited to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and D.C. who had reached the age of majority.
