The core of this update is the switch to a 67kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry battery. Externally, the refresh adopts a "sharper" design language. The front end is almost entirely new save for the main headlight units. These changes give the Megane E-Tech a more assertive and modern face, aligning it with Renault’s latest design identity.
Inside, the focus remains on the digital cockpit centered around twin screens—both around 12 inches—running the Google Built-in system. This provides seamless access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Play Store. The updated lineup will be simplified to two core trims. The entry-level Techno trim includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a heat pump for efficient climate control, and the full Google interface. The range-topping Esprit Alpine grade adds 20-inch wheels, massaging front seats, and an upgraded Harman Kardon premium audio system.
Exclusive Market Perspective: While official US launch plans remain unconfirmed, this update sharpens the Megane E-Tech's profile against global rivals like the Volkswagen ID.3 and Nissan Ariya. The move to LFP battery technology is particularly strategic, reflecting an industry-wide pivot to reduce costs and dependency on scarce minerals like cobalt and nickel.
