SANTA CLARA — In a carefully managed return, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was a spectator at his own training camp on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Linebacker Fred Warner, one of the first to greet Shanahan between drills, offered a lighthearted assessment of his coach's look. Not all news was positive, as offensive tackle Vederian Lowe, a key offseason signing for depth, sustained an apparent right ankle injury early in team drills and walked off with a trainer. His status is currently unclear.
