Updated: May 7, 2026. CUPRA is putting its electric future on display at the Paris Motor Show this October, with a new ABT-styled Raval, a GEN4 Formula E challenger and an upgraded Sennheiser audio setup. The brand will be in Pavilion 4 from Oct. 12-18, and the Tindaya show car will preview where the design language goes next.
The new Raval package is called CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT. It applies the same design-driven formula that ABT and CUPRA already use on the Leon and Formentor, but now for the small battery-electric hatchback. The styling kit references the UrbanRebel concept, adding front and rear splitters, side skirts, a large roof spoiler and winglets. There are also 19-inch Sport Black Matt alloy wheels, ABT lettering, Dark Chrome CUPRA badges and distinctive interior touches.
This is a design package, not a performance upgrade. CUPRA has not announced changes to the Raval's power, range or chassis setup. New cars will have the parts hand-built at the CUPRA Racing Factory before delivery. Buyers will be able to configure selected Raval variants with the package through the company's online configurator from the end of November. Existing owners can have the package installed later through authorized dealers.
The timing puts the package on sale just after the Paris show, allowing CUPRA to turn show-floor attention into order conversions during the final weeks of the year. The move also gives the Raval a sharper visual identity as it moves from launch phase to steady production.
CUPRA says the Raval has already collected more than 50,000 orders since April, more than double its original forecast. Deliveries are close to 15,000 units. Sales chief Sven Schuwirth has set a target of 100,000 Raval deliveries in 2027, which would make the model the company's best-seller.
The order strength comes at an important time. The Raval is the spearhead of CUPRA's EV expansion and is produced at the Martorell plant in Spain, where SEAT and CUPRA have invested more than €3 billion in electric-vehicle production. Martorell also carries a key role in the Volkswagen Group's Electric Urban Car Family, a four-model project shared with Volkswagen and Škoda. If the Raval reaches the 100,000-unit goal, Martorell's output will have to keep pace.
The wider order sheet is positive too. In its most recent sales report, CUPRA said deliveries between January and September topped 250,000, up 2 percent from a year earlier. Battery-electric demand was the bigger driver: BEV orders jumped by 79 percent to more than 108,000, and fully electric models accounted for nearly half of all third-quarter orders. For a volume-oriented brand in a price-sensitive segment, that mix is unusually strong.
The Raval is also due to receive several planned equipment upgrades, including an illuminated CUPRA logo, ground-projection indicators and a reversing assistant that retraces up to 50 metres of the previous forward path. Top speed will be limited to 190 km/h.
The racing news comes from CUPRA KIRO, which has revealed its new Formula E car for the 2026/27 season. The car is built around Porsche technology and becomes the team's first GEN4 challenger. GEN4 brings a major step in performance: top speeds over 335 km/h, 0-100 km/h in under two seconds, and permanent all-wheel drive. CUPRA KIRO's signature copper livery remains on the car.
The driver line-up changes as well. Jake Hughes joins the team for the 2026/27 campaign. The British driver arrives with two podiums and four pole positions in Formula E. Pepe Martí stays for a second season after ending the previous one as the highest-placed rookie; he also scored podium finishes in Monaco and Sanya. That combination should give CUPRA KIRO a car that is quick in qualifying and capable of scoring points consistently.
The Formula E programme is not just a marketing exercise. GEN4 cars are the most advanced EVs in the series, and the technical transfer from Porsche gives CUPRA a credible path into racing's electric mainstream. For a brand building its road-car line around EVs, having a race car with all-wheel drive and 335 km/h top speed supports the same performance message it applies to road models.
CUPRA will also showcase its latest in-car audio development. The Tavascan Black Edition features the SENNHEISER AMBEO Immersive Sound System. Four actuators integrated along the roofline create a height effect, turning the cabin into a 360-degree soundstage. CUPRA says updated Formentor and Terramar models will receive the same system, while Leon and Leon Sportstourer will offer the related IMMERSIVE BY SENNHEISER configuration.
The Tindaya show car will also be on display. CUPRA describes it as a design study that points to future styling and interior directions. It is not a production model, but it gives visitors a preview of how CUPRA intends to evolve its copper, sharp-edge and sporty design language as it expands its EV family.
Taken together, the Paris line-up shows CUPRA using personalization, racing and technology to strengthen its identity before the next phase of European EV growth. The ABT kit is a low-risk way to lift showroom appeal without engineering a new powertrain. The Formula E car gives the brand a legitimate race-bred halo. And the Raval's order book suggests that buyers respond to a small EV with distinctive styling and clear attitude. Whether the Martorell plant and supplier network can turn that demand into 100,000 deliveries in 2027 will be the next test.
