A TikTok creator known as Issac (@boringissac) recently shared a trick that relies on an often-overlooked vacuum attachment: a narrow, pencil-width nozzle that can reach tight spaces the standard hose cannot.

In a video posted on TikTok, Issac demonstrates how he uses two vacuum attachments available at many coin-operated car washes. The larger hose handles floor mats, seats, and open carpet, while the smaller, narrower nozzle targets the gaps around the center console, cup holders, and door panels. “I just use it for the tight spots,” he explains, then follows up with a rag for the remaining hard surfaces.

Why the Small Nozzle Works Better
AAA’s car care guidelines specifically recommend using a vacuum with a crevice tool to reach areas where dirt and crumbs tend to accumulate, such as under the seats, around cup holders, and along the dashboard. Standard vacuum nozzles typically measure 1.5 to 2 inches wide, which is too large for the narrow gaps between seats and the center console. Switching to a small attachment allows you to extract debris that would otherwise remain trapped.
Issac’s technique aligns with AAA’s advice: use the right tool for each section of the interior. For stubborn dirt in seams or vents, AAA suggests loosening it with a stiff brush before vacuuming, then wiping down hard surfaces with a microfiber cloth.

In that case, Issac suggests a backup plan: open all four doors, sweep or blow debris toward the door openings, and then vacuum from the outside. He skipped that step in his own session because he had already cleaned the interior, but it’s a valid workaround.
