January 24, 2025 – German tuning powerhouse Brabus has officially handed over the first customer example of its ultra-exclusive Bodo V12 GT in Dubai, marking a milestone for the brand’s most extreme road-legal creation. The delivery took place at a private event in the heart of the city, attended by high-net-worth collectors and automotive enthusiasts. This limited-run coupe, developed on the foundation of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, represents the pinnacle of Brabus’ engineering and customization capabilities.
The Brabus Bodo V12 GT is not merely a modified AMG—it’s a ground-up reimagining that pushes boundaries. Brabus removed the original V8 hybrid powertrain and replaced it with a hand-assembled 6.3-liter V12 biturbo engine, producing a staggering 1,000 hp and 1,420 Nm of torque. The result is a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2.6 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 420 km/h. The first customer vehicle, finished in a bespoke “Brabus Shadow Black” with exposed carbon fiber accents, also features a custom wide-body kit, active aerodynamics, and a quad-exit titanium exhaust system.
Dubai’s selection as the first delivery location is no coincidence. The Middle East, and particularly the UAE, has become a hotspot for ultra-luxury automotive purchases. According to a recent report by Knight Frank, the region accounts for over 20% of global sales of cars priced above $1 million. Brabus’ CEO, Constantin Buschmann, stated: “Dubai represents the perfect blend of ambition, wealth, and appreciation for automotive art. The Bodo V12 GT is a tribute to our founder, and it’s fitting that the first customer, a prominent Emirati collector, takes delivery here.”
Brabus is limiting production of the Bodo V12 GT to just 25 units worldwide, each priced at approximately €1.2 million (before taxes and options). Every car is built to order, with customers able to choose from over 1,000 exterior paint options and limitless interior personalization. The cabin features hand-stitched leather, carbon fiber trim, and a 24-carat gold-plated “Bodo” badge on the center console. The first customer in Dubai chose a combination of black Alcantara, red contrast stitching, and a custom “one-of-one” embroidery on the headrests.
Under the skin, the Bodo V12 GT rides on a reinforced chassis with fully adjustable coilover suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and 21-inch forged wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires. Brabus engineers also reworked the AMG’s all-wheel-drive system to handle the massive torque output, and added a 9-speed automatic transmission with race-tuned shift logic. The car’s intelligent torque vectoring and rear-wheel steering ensure it remains planted even at triple-digit speeds.
The delivery has already stirred conversations among collectors and automotive journalists. “The Brabus Bodo is a statement—it proves that a German tuner can compete with the likes of Bugatti and Koenigsegg in terms of raw performance and exclusivity,” said John Smith, senior editor at Supercar Insider. “But it also carries the heritage of Brabus, which adds a layer of authenticity that pure hypercar brands sometimes lack.” With the first cars now hitting roads, Brabus is expected to announce additional regional deliveries in Europe and Asia within the next quarter.
In an exclusive interview, Brabus head of development, Markus Ruhl, revealed that the V12 engine is based on the Mercedes-Benz M279 platform but extensively modified: “We bored the cylinders, fitted forged pistons, new connecting rods, and a larger turbocharger system. The engine block is reinforced with a special alloy to withstand the immense pressure. It took us over 18 months of development to reach the reliability we demand.” He also noted that each engine is bench-tested for 48 hours before installation, and each car undergoes a 500 km on-road validation program.
The Brabus Bodo V12 GT isn’t just a car—it’s a collector’s artifact. With only 25 units, values are expected to appreciate rapidly. The Dubai delivery signals that the Middle East remains a key market for top-tier modified hypercars. As Brabus continues to expand its Bespoke department, we can expect more limited-edition projects that blur the line between tuner and manufacturer.
The first customer delivery of the Brabus Bodo V12 GT in Dubai represents a new chapter for the brand. It’s a bold statement of engineering prowess, exclusivity, and luxury. For the lucky owner in Dubai, the Bodo is not just a hypercar—it’s a piece of automotive history. As the remaining 24 units find their homes, the world will be watching what Brabus does next.
