March 2026 – Volkswagen has expanded the 2027 ID. Buzz lineup with a new Pro+ grade, while equipping the entire Pro range with standard bidirectional charging. The German automaker also introduced a camper-oriented Goodnight Package and adjusted pricing for the high-performance GTX model.
The Pro+ slot sits above the Pro and below the GTX, offered in both five-seat short-wheelbase (SWB) and seven-seat long-wheelbase (LWB) body styles. It brings a host of comfort and convenience features that were previously optional or unavailable.
Volkswagen’s charging strategy takes a leap forward: the 2027 ID. Buzz Pro now includes vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capability as standard. That means owners can power their house or send energy back to the grid — pending local utility approval. The feature is expected to be a major selling point in markets like the U.S., where V2H is gaining traction.
Other standard updates across the Pro and Pro+ include a revised driver attention monitor, front cross-traffic assist, predictive speed limiter, and a dynamic road sign display. Volkswagen also added a driving experience selector, stone guards for chassis components, and a two-tone horn.
Stepping up to the Pro+ unlocks electrically adjustable front seats with massage function, heated second-row seats, Sequel cloth upholstery in Light Soul-Mistral, 30-color ambient lighting, Park Assist with memory, satellite navigation, a luggage platform, net partition with storage boxes, and 20-inch Stockton Silver alloy wheels.
Buyers can also option an infotainment package with a Harman Kardon sound system and head-up display, plus a panoramic sunroof with electrochromic shading.
Volkswagen has not yet confirmed U.S. pricing for the 2027 ID. Buzz range. However, the Australian pricing structure — announced alongside the lineup — offers a reference point. In Australia, the Pro SWB starts at $75,990 (AUD, before on-road costs), while the Pro+ SWB begins at $84,990. The LWB variants add $5,000 to each tier.
The GTX LWB sees a $2,000 increase to $106,990 in Australia, though that follows a $4,000 price cut earlier in 2026. The Cargo van remains at $69,990.
When the ID. Buzz arrives in the U.S. (likely as a 2027 model year), it will compete with electric vans and crossovers like the Rivian R1T and Ford E-Transit. Analysts expect Volkswagen to keep pricing competitive, especially with the new Pro+ grade offering a more premium option.
For $4,390 (Australia pricing), the Goodnight Package adds a fold-out bed, window blinds, a camping table, and camping chairs. It transforms the ID
