Next, calculate your weekly pay by multiplying your hourly wage by your average hours worked per week. Then, multiply that weekly amount by 52 (the number of weeks in a year).
If your hours fluctuate, track them for a month to find an average. Add your weekly hours for four weeks and divide by four. Use this average in the formula above. It's also critical to account for overtime, which is typically paid at 1.5 times your regular rate for hours worked beyond 40 per week. Calculate your average weekly overtime pay and add it to your regular weekly pay before multiplying by 52.
Salaried, or exempt employees, receive a fixed amount per pay period, regardless of hours worked. To find your annual salary, you simply multiply your gross pay from one paycheck by the number of pay periods in a year.
