There are multiple possible causes. Here is relevant information: Break-in period: The break-in process for new vehicles, during which brake pad bedding is a crucial stage. It typically takes several hundred kilometers of riding before the brakes feel more comfortable. Newly replaced brake pads also require a break-in period to properly mate with the existing rotors. Initially, the brakes may feel very stiff, and it usually takes a few hundred kilometers before they improve. During riding, very fine sand particles may get between the pads and rotors, sometimes causing noise due to friction. This condition generally doesn't require repair - just continue riding until the particles work themselves out. For noise caused by incomplete break-in, some riders aggressively apply brakes to speed up the bedding process. While this can quickly seat the brakes, it causes accelerated pad wear, effectively reducing the brake pad lifespan. Therefore, it's recommended to simply ride normally for a while and observe, avoiding artificial forced wear. Brake malfunction: Missing or damaged rotor mounting screws can also cause brake noise. If there's a brake system failure, inspection and repair will be necessary.
