It's the AUTO button. In this mode, once a temperature is set, the air conditioning will automatically start when the vehicle is ignited. You can see two fan symbols on the air conditioning control panel. If you want to manually turn on the air conditioning, simply press the increase fan speed button.

When I drive my BMW, using the automatic air conditioning is quite straightforward. After starting the engine, locate the control area on the center console. There's a button labeled AUTO—press it, and when the light turns on, the system is activated. It automatically detects the inside and outside temperatures to adjust the airflow and temperature settings. To change the comfort level, simply rotate the nearby temperature knob to set your desired temperature, like 20°C in summer or 24°C in winter, and it intelligently manages the rest. What I find most convenient is not having to frequently adjust settings while driving, especially during peak traffic hours—it saves hassle and enhances safety. You can also use the central display to switch between recirculation and fresh air modes: use recirculation for cleaner air when outside air quality is poor, or switch to fresh air mode for ventilation. Regularly replacing the cabin air filter improves performance, and I recommend doing it annually during maintenance to prevent odors from affecting the experience. The whole operation is intuitive, making it easy even for beginners to master.

As a practical person, when using the BMW automatic air conditioning in my car, I prioritize energy efficiency. After starting the car, I immediately press the AUTO button to let it operate automatically. I set the temperature around 22°C to avoid wasting energy by setting it too high or too low. The system adjusts the fan speed via sensors—smaller fan speeds can reduce fuel consumption. I also manually turn off the compressor and only activate the cooling when necessary to save even more fuel. In AUTO mode, it balances temperature fluctuations for stable comfort. On highways, opening windows actually increases fuel consumption, making air conditioning more economical. I recommend using the recirculation mode for higher cooling efficiency, switching to fresh air mode every half hour to maintain air quality. This is an efficient and cost-saving tip.

As a novice driver using BMW's automatic climate control for the first time, I found it very user-friendly. After starting the car, I immediately located the climate control panel and pressed the AUTO button. Once the light illuminated, the system began operating automatically. I simply rotated the temperature knob to set my desired temperature, and the system automatically adjusted the heating/cooling intensity and fan speed without any manual intervention. Occasionally when I wanted stronger airflow, I just pressed the fan speed adjustment buttons - the straightforward design is highly intuitive, allowing me to focus on road conditions without distraction.

In my experience, with BMW's automatic air conditioning function, you just need to press the AUTO button after starting the car and set the desired temperature, then the system will automatically adjust. However, it's important to maintain it properly by timely switching between internal and external circulation - use internal circulation when there's a lot of dust, and external circulation for fresh air to ensure efficient system operation. Check and clean the filter every six months to avoid blockages that may affect airflow. When the vehicle is parked for extended periods, run the air conditioning for a few minutes to keep the components flexible.

With BMW's automatic climate control, I adjust settings seasonally. In hot summers, after starting the car, I first open windows to vent hot air, then press AUTO to set low temperature for rapid cooling - the system automatically increases fan speed for high efficiency. In winter, I similarly set a warm temperature to prevent freezing, with automatic heating and defrost functions to prevent fog/frost, plus using defrost mode when needed. For year-round comfort, remember to properly switch between air recirculation and fresh air modes. In rainy days or polluted areas, optimized ventilation maintains a pleasant cabin environment.

Will Insurance Cover a Car Flooded in a Heavy Rainstorm?

Insurance companies will compensate for vehicles flooded due to heavy rainstorms based on specific circumstances. Here is the relevant information: 1. Ways vehicles can be damaged in a heavy rainstorm: If the car is parked and flooded, and the owner has comprehensive car insurance, the insurance will cover the full cost of repairs. If the car stalls and gets flooded while driving through water, and the owner has water ingress coverage, the insurance will cover the damages. Without water ingress coverage, only damages to parts other than the engine will be covered. If the car is restarted after stalling in water, no insurance will cover this part. 2. What to do if your car is flooded: If your car hasn't been flooded yet, it's advisable to park it in a higher location. If the garage in your residential area has a history of backflow, move the car to the ground as soon as possible. Unless absolutely necessary, avoid driving. For a car that has been flooded, prioritize personal safety. After the car stalls, do not restart it. Call your insurance company or a 4S store for rescue and wait patiently for assistance.

What Causes the Transmission Jerking in the 2013 New Mondeo?

Here are the specific reasons for transmission jerking in the 2013 New Mondeo: 1. Clogged Engine Oil Passages: The combustion of fuel, which is the power source of the engine, is determined by the engine's ignition, air intake, and fuel injectors. If the air intake decreases, ignition weakens, or fuel injection reduces, the power output will be insufficient, leading to a jerking sensation. 2. Dirty Transmission Fluid: This can cause damage to the solenoid valves. If sludge in the transmission fluid circulates and blocks the oil passages in the valve body, jerking issues will occur. Over time, this can lead to a series of transmission problems such as overheating, impact, and slipping. 3. Break-in Period: Mild jerking during driving is normal during the break-in period because the vehicle's power output and component engagement are not at their optimal levels. Additionally, the transmission control module has a self-learning mechanism that continuously adjusts oil pressure for gear shifts.

What does 7% remaining oil life mean for the GL8?

The remaining oil life is determined by mechanical operation conditions, and there is no specific numerical value to measure its lifespan. You can use the dipstick to take out some oil and place a drop on a tissue paper to observe its diffusion. If the black area is relatively large and the light yellow ring is narrow, it indicates that the oil needs to be changed. Other considerations when adding engine oil: 1. Higher viscosity oil does not necessarily provide better engine protection: Oil with higher viscosity not only negatively impacts overall fuel consumption but also fails to protect the engine effectively. Another function of engine oil is cooling and heat dissipation. When high-viscosity oil is used blindly, the engine's oil cooling performance will inevitably weaken. 2. Engine oils should not be mixed: The additive components in oils from different manufacturers are completely different. The chemical compositions of these additives can vary significantly, not just between different brands but even within the same brand's different product lines. When oils from two different brands are mixed, chemical reactions can occur under the engine's high temperatures, such as the formation of flocculent substances in the oil or an increase in viscosity.

How Often Should the Spark Plugs of Wuling Hongguang Be Replaced?

It is recommended to replace the spark plugs of Wuling Hongguang S every 40,000 kilometers. Under normal maintenance conditions, car spark plugs should be replaced after driving 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers. However, this may vary depending on the brand and engine, so it is advisable to follow the user manual. The following standards can be referenced for maintenance and replacement: platinum spark plugs should be replaced at 40,000 kilometers, ordinary nickel alloy spark plugs at 20,000 kilometers, and iridium spark plugs at 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers. Steps for replacing spark plugs: Open the hood, lift the plastic cover of the engine, and remove the high-voltage distributor wires. Mark each cylinder's position to avoid confusion. Use a spark plug socket to remove the spark plugs one by one. While removing them, check for any external debris like leaves or dust and ensure they are thoroughly cleaned. Place the new spark plug into the spark plug hole, hand-tighten it a few turns, and then use the socket to tighten it further. Reinstall the removed high-voltage distributor wires according to the firing order and secure the cover plate.

What does it mean when the X-Trail displays a chassis control system error?

The chassis control system error in the X-Trail is usually caused by faults in other systems, such as the engine, transmission, or ABS. It requires diagnosis and repair at a 4S shop or a repair shop to resolve the issue. Here are some solutions: 1. Clear fault codes and upgrade the chassis control system: If it's a false fault code, it can be reset directly via a computer. After clearing the fault codes, upgrade the chassis control system. 2. Loose connectors or short circuits: If the sensor connectors are loose or the wiring has poor contact, this fault light may appear and cannot be reset. In this case, inspection and repair are needed. Tighten loose connectors or replace the sensor if necessary. 3. Sensor failure: If sensors like ABS, TSC, or vehicle stability control malfunction, they can trigger the chassis control system error. Replace the corresponding sensors. 4. Incorrect wiring of aftermarket electrical devices: Many dashcams now feature parking monitoring, requiring a step-down converter to connect to the ACC constant power supply. This can drain the battery and affect the chassis control system. It is recommended not to connect to constant power in such cases.
