Click the button on the door handle to open the rear door. The Tiguan features a smart door handle that automatically opens when the car key is detected nearby. I've been driving the Tiguan for four years, and folding down the rear armrest is super easy. I use it every time I take friends out for fun. Press or lift it to hear a click releasing the latch, then gently push the upper part of the armrest down. Once folded, it creates a large space for big suitcases or backpacks, which is very practical. Be careful not to operate it when children or pets are on it to avoid injury, and avoid using excessive force to prevent damaging the latch. The Tiguan's design is quite thoughtful—the button is conveniently placed and easy to find, and the folded surface is flat, making it suitable as a temporary luggage rack.
